R.J. Ellis, BHP

Ellis had his biggest outing of the year to date, and was key in the Bears topping rival Palmetto, 41-24. The tailback had 261 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries.

Jamal Blakley, Pendleton

The senior quarterback had a second consecutive solid outing in Region I-AAA play, leading the Bulldogs to a 51-7 win over rival Powdersville. Blakley was 11-for-17 for 195 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed five times for 94 yards and two touchdowns, and caught a pass for 15 yards.

Jay Lagroon, T.L. Hanna

The Citadel commit led the Yellow Jackets in rushing last week. The senior back finished with 155 yards and two scores on just six carries. He also caught a pass for 17 yards and tallied four tackles on defense in Hanna's 41-0 win over Easley.

Paul Johnson, Westside

The senior tailback was solid for the Rams, helping Westside to a 56-7 win over J.L. Mann. Johnson led the team with 129 yards and two scores on 18 carries, and had two catches for 69 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler Venables, Daniel

Venables was sterling in a monster matchup against Wren last week, leading Daniel to a 51-31 win to move to first place in Region I-AAAA. The junior QB went 14-for-20 for 133 yards and two touchdowns , and had 99 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.

Chandler Brown, Crescent

The senior linebacker had an efficient night, helping Crescent best Liberty 28-14. Along with six tackles, Brown got a key interception he returned for a 30-yard touchdown.
